i reset my over head display deal

Default i reset my over head display deal

i reset it this moring on the highway, it said 14.0mpg before i reset it. after reset it said 21.3mpg on hwy going 70mph and in town it said 18. i think its lieing to me to make me feel good! its the 4.7 with one chamber flowmaster and a cai.

If you have the regular cab, it is not out of the conquestion. Getting over 20 on the hwy seems normal, and as you start your driving in the city, it starts to go down. Do more city driving and you will see it decline more....LOL!!!

Those numbers are close to what I get when doing the same thing. It is the stopping, idling, and accelerating that brings the numbers down to the 14 mpg average range.

if you set the overhead to show the instant MPG and you have one eye on the road and one on the MPG you can see when and how much your foot is in the gas, it might help

on my 05 you just go to where the mpgs show up and hold down reset mine beeps are reclears then shows new mpg

when you see your mpg just sitting there after a while of driving, thats just the average. when you reset it, thats what your gettn right then..i think. i did that the other day on the highway cruise control on 55 and i got 22.4..not too shabby ha

trying to save face... that makes alot of sense dude haha. i swear i got it. my bro was with me. going 55 gets you the best gas mileage. im pretty sure the things are rigged to show a better number than what your getting..but i got what i got
