Haven't done this to my RAM but I've added decals to my Suzuki GSXR. I just cleaned it very well making sure to remove any old wax then apply the decal. I've added wax over the decals several times without harming the decals. The only thing I've noticed is that the wax can leave a white residue along the edge of the decal - easy enough to clean off though.

just stick it on the truck.

use soapy water to make sure it doesn't stick until you want it to. then squeegee soapy water out from under it.

I have done it twice on my 02 Ram and going to be twice on my 07. Its all about patience. Get the old wax off with dawn dish soap. Also use soapy water for the install so the decal will slideand remove air bubbles. Not too much or it will be to slippery and drive you nuts.
