and so i figured out how to install my CAI. different than the way you did. i got the ebay one too. but mine was for $50 with s&h. i was going by your instructions and damn did i get lost!!!! i needed to keep my HEMI hat thing on my motor and keep the sensor connected to it. i just had to remove my air box and put the CAI in there. i went to look back on ebay at the pics for the 10th time and figured it out. anywho, here are cell phone pics of my CAI. i can tell the power diff!! i love it!!!!!

thanks dude. i got confused after i took off my HEMI hat. i was like... "WTF?!?!" lol. then i looked at thje ebay post and was like "ok. got it!" it was a sinch! lol. but you had real good directions. oh, the difference for yours and mine is that your cai is the k&n one. mine was a total of $50. not the k&n one. you have that extra tube to hook up. thats why. if you got the one i got, itd be the same exact thing.

 

just wanted to let everyone know my ebay CAI finally came in after about two and half weeks. the box and stuff inside looks just like texbigb. Hopefully installed soon by this weekend. Is there anything else i need besides what came in the box or any other different directions compared to what came wit it????

 

no. thats it man. just do what tex did. youll be fine. nothing special. just get a socket wrench to fit to take off the air hat you have (the 3.7L magnum, 4.7L magnum, 5,7L HEMI magnum hat). youll figure it out. itll be like 30-60 minutes to do. easy as hell just takes a while. good luck.

 

i managed to put my full CAI on today. It went just texbigb directions put it except mines an 08 and so the only major difference was that my air sensor was on the others side of the pipe around the throttle body and so i had to cut a hole on the pipe to make it fit. Does anyone know whats the best way to cover up the old hole? Im thinking duct tape but it might get sucked in since the pipe gets pretty hot enough to melt it.
