RE: Questions about subs in a quad cab
The new alpine type-s subs are quit shallow. Mounting depth 4.3 inches and they handle 300 watts rms.

RE: Questions about subs in a quad cab
I'm pushing about 400 rms myself with the rockford p3 shallow mount and a rockford t500 amp. But they don't sound the greatest with rap which is alright since i dont listen to it that much. Although techno sounds awesome for some reason, go figure. Loud enough anyway that i really have to invest in some dynomat. On a seperate note looking for some good component speakers. Anyone have a suggestion ?

RE: Questions about subs in a quad cab
i absolutely LOVE polk momo, mb quartz, and boston acoustics. those 3 are the top 3. also, with an amp, theres this italian amp, best amp ever made (not only my opinion, but many, many car audio gurus's as well), i forgot the name. but its fairly pricey. otherwise, id stick with a phoenix gold or an MTX amp. polk momo, mb quartz, and boston acoustics is the way to go. jl absolutley SUCKS *** at door speakers. rockford is also pretty good. i like alpine too. pioneer is def. not a sub or speaker id go for. infinity is good as well!

RE: Questions about subs in a quad cab
I have 2 Alpine Type Rs subs with the custom fiberglass boxes made for under the back seat and they sound really good, plus I didnt have to raise the seat.
