Thinking of switching hemi to CTD?????????
Hello you guys, i wanted to tell you that i have been thinking about switching hemi to diesel because of course everyones know that hemi sucks on fuel however switching to diesel will boost mpg to 18 to 22 mpg which is excellent with lots of torque. I will show you that i will be getting a 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 24 Valve Cummins Diesel. This truck has already included the k&n cold air intake, stacks, under has been sprayed, new sets of brakes, and others.... it has 122k miles. Do you think i should switch hemi to that truck?

Diesel flue is more expensive than gas, depending on your area, CTD are awsome engines, but a total waste of time and money for the sake of driving, empty a ctd and a hemi are going to be close in mpg, towing Ctd is better on flue.
It could be argued that real trucks don't use spark plugs, But I have nothing bad to say abought the hemi, mine is really good on gas.
i know that you would not give up quad for a regular cab but that is the only way for me to save gas and everyday i drive 55 mph on highway for 1 and half hours to get to work and i get 25 mpg and it is very bad in city because of stopping and so on. I dont like to drive to slow and it is wasting my time waking up too early to get to work and i would get home way toooooo later.....
The fuel mileage will make up for the fuel cost. especially since that engine is broken in.

I know that the fuel mileage will keep up with the cost of gas but i still dont know if i wanted to switch because the diesel in ct is 4.15 per gallons and will rise to 5 dollar per gallons in the summer and i dont know if i want it or not. so therefore, i will ask you for your opinions, should i switch hemi to cummins diesel or not? Thank you for your time.
i mean, if the fuel price isnt something you dont really mind... go for it!! but youll end up paying the same amount per week for fuel. but youd get home quicker. so theres always a good and a bad. you pick man. if you need to tow, get it. if you dont tow, stay with the HEMI.
