Gears for lifted 2005???
Now that the snow is melting and there is 8-12"s of mud and slush I am coming to the realization that I am going to need new gears. Does anyone have the expertise in gears to reccomend some that won't lose my HWY speed too bad, but will also power me through the mud a little better! It just feels like it is Bogging down and I am not getting all the power out of my truck that I know is there!
2005 Ram 1500, 5.5-6" lift, 37" Nitto Mud Grapplers, K&N cold air intake, Superchip, Flowmaster, and hopefully some new gears with some great feedback!

4.56s without a doubt. And it's not true about losing top end speed, or at least where you'd ever notice it. You'll rev about 400 rpm higher if you have 3.92s now, about 600 rpm higher if you've got 3.55s. So, you'll hit your rev limiter at a lower speed, true, but I'm talking like you'll "rev out" at say 132 mph instead of like 140! And if you don't have a tuner to up the speed limiter, you can't go past 104 anyway, so like I said, you won't lose any top end with 4.56s that you'd realistically see.
As far as brands go, there is really no one better brand than another, the proper installation is WAY more important than which brand you get. It's not something you want to try yourself, or even have a typical auto mechanic do. This is a job for someone who only does gears & axle work. This is the one mod where you need to concede that you want an expert and pay his price for labor, because improperly done, at best, you'll have some loud *** whiney gears and at worst, it'll tear up your whole rear or front end...

I paid just a little over $1400 a little over two years ago for Genuine Gears 4.56 for the front and rear (lifetime warranty), master install kit w/Timkin Bearings, Auburn Gear LSD in the rear, fluids, labor and included a free 500 mile check and fluid change.
I shopped them hard, brought prices from other online vendors with me, got them to price match plus install the LSD for free by purchasing it from them and having them install it at the same time.
