Default Installing fog lights

I want to install some fog lights in my Ram. It currently has the plastic fillers. Has anyone done this? I was thinking I could cut out the filler enough to fit a pair in.

Im not sure how but they pop out. Im assuming the filler looks like a grille and not a solid cover. Some trucks are pre wired for them. I had my dealership pop a set of the "mopar" hella lights in as my truck was pre wired for them.

So if it is prewired than there should be plugs behind the bumper?

Not sure how they wire in but id assume so. Are the plugs in your bumper more like small grilles or solid blocks?

if the inserts are like mine, the horizontal grill style, they pop out frome the inside of the bumper. i was given a set of 55 watt-4" fog type lights that i installed in the hole mounted to the frame. illl try to get pics tomorow.ran some wires through the firewall hole ( 2nuts hold on from the inside) to a switch in the little popout rectanglelow and leftof the steering wheel

Like the others said, the grill looking inserts pull out...I pulled mine out through the front though. Check under the driveside bumper support for the factory pre-wiring...you'll see a unused harness pointed straight down if you have it. If you do you can get the factory fogs, the kit comes with a new headlights switch that pushes in for the fogs... along with inserts, Y-harness, the lights and all screws. I dunno what year your truck is but moparforless on ebay has them http://stores.ebay.com/Mopar4Less_Ra...QQftidZ2QQtZkm

Thats what I did with mine, was buy the factory set with switch for about 100 bucks took me all but a 1/2 hour to install including the switch. I am pretty sure they are all wired for them. I am sureyou could install an aftermarket set but its easier to go Mopar. the grilles do pull out from the front there is a clip in the back that you release and it slides forwardif Iremember correctly itsbeen awhile, the instructions come with the set.

I've done this andposted some info and pictures in this thread:

Only SLT models come prewired for the fog lights.
