2003 rotors?
OK I think what I am going to go with is just replacement rotors from autozone, nothing fancy and not expensive and also the carbon-metalic pads from there with the lifetime warranty. With the pads and the rotors will cost about 120 bucks total. Does this sound OK, I don't do any towing and I don't want to drop a bundle unless I have to. Does this sound OK or like crap. I have never done brakes before but will have someone help me to start.

I have always herd they may crack. I personally don't think it is worth it. I ordered brembo replacement rotors off of tire rack.

Ok guys thanks for all the info. So are slotted rotors worth the extra cash??

I have the power slot rotors on my truck with hawk pads, there is a night and day differance from stock. Alot of members on other forums are using the same setup as me and all are happy with them. Price wise they are not too bad either. Install is not hard at all, did mine in an about an hr.
You may want to look into ceramic pads for your truck. They don't give of near as much of the corrosive dust as the others do. They will tear up rotors faster, but for the price, you can't go wrong.

ok, so if I go with ceramic pads , is there a need to go with the slotted rotors since it sounds like they will hurt the rotors quicker anyway, or am I misunderstanding something here.
