idk my 08 runs like a raped ape when I put the pedal down... unless i'm bogging along in sixth gear or something... altho I havea big feelign that is due to me not having a failomatic but rather a stick shift.

Aftermarket tuners can do wonders for this delay which is programmed into the PCM by the manufacturer for various reasons by installing their performance "tunes" to the PCM.
To cut down the delay and get a host of other performance benefits, get a good tuner.
WOW.... sorry to **** you girls off. My '86 mustang's throttle is connected to the EEC by the TPS which DOES have input on which fuel map the EEC uses. so HammerZ71 your wrong in a way. I do realize that my dodge doesn't have a throttle cable.

Do you understand what these complicated machines do? I would say no with your question

And my 97 Trans Am that lays down over 400rwhp doesn't have a throttle response issue either. It's a car and a performance car at that not your mom and pop grocery getter, driving through the woods to a deer stand, hauling hay truck. You did buy the best truck (in my book) for hauling so why would you expect a truck to perform like a race car.

You should have saved your money and bought a El Camino SS with a 396 or a Ranchero with a 351c or 427, or a gen-ii lighting if you wanted a performance truck.

Where you have a complaint it's not fast enough there is the exact opposite wishing it was less. Dodge has to meet somewhere in the middle.
1. who said I had an attitude? If you don't question people on these forums then you must be one of those guys who belives everything he/she reads. I like taking a concensus.
2.NO I don't understand everything about these engines and their computers thats why I ask questions
3. I never intended for my truck to perform like a race car. I have my '86 mustang which puts down 503RWHP for that. Guess what I'm married with kids and get my groceries with my stang!

By the way my Mustang doesn't have any delay issues either because I run a EMS "PMS" which takes care of all fuel, timing and more. I didn't buy my truck for the Horse Power thats for sure. I just want to be able to use all its got when I mash the pedal, not when I'm letting off the throttle.

I don't think I ever said my truck wasn't fast enough

PEACE!

Nice Stang there blacktop. I have an 88 myself.
It would be nice to have all of the power available to be available at WOT and not having to play with the pedal to get the most out of the engine. It is a fuel/timing table issue in the factory tune that needs to be addressed by Dodge.
The Drive by wire 07 Mustang GT only does this when the traction control is in to keep it from spinning. No traction control on my RAM.
I don't do it just to be doing it, when towing 7500lbs, and trying to merge into traffic, I just want the damn truck to get moving, not having to worry about playing with the pedal!!!!
