Default Synthetic Oil life

Hey guys, I use 5W-20 Mobil 1 fully synthetic oil in my Hemi. I was wondering about how far can you go without an oil change on fully synthetic oil. I know it varies but I was wondering if I would be safe going 6,000 or 7,000 miles without an oil change? (and I do get the long lasting oil filter too)

I don't care what the oil is rated for, it's the filter you gotta worry about with synthetic oils. If I got a full synthetic anda top of the line filter then Istillwouldn't let the oil & filter go for more than 7500 miles tops...

http://www.amsoil.com/storefront/detail.aspx?ID=3500 the filter is 18 bucks

i dont think the WIX filter you use Hammer is rated for 25k miles, i still change mine out at 10k, but what you could do is just replace the filter, ive had to do that before when i drained the oil and then couldnt get the Fing filter off, had to pour the new **** in and drive and buy a new filter wrench and then popped the old one off and put the new one on. just used a walmart bag and almost no oil dropped on the ground. (didnt reuse the old oil cause it the catch pan had gear lube in it)

I considering switching to AMSOIL my next (well actually first since I've owned the truck) oil change. But I'm not sure which filter I should go with, I want it to be top of the line, but have never heard much conversation on using different types as opposed to others. What would you suggest?

its all a scam, the old school guys still think 3k or so because thats what they grew up hearing from their old man cause thats what he heard and so on and so on. my uncle has a porsche in germany, he's pretty much hit the 300 KM/H mark on it and typically drives 130 mph on the autobahn (hell my aunt goes 160kmh/100mph on it in her van) anyways, he definately pushes the car, he changes the oil every 10k, and its not cause he's hurting for money, hell the damn land he has his house on is on a hill side and just the land was 1.4 mil.

UK Toyota advises to change the oil every 20,000 miles, and to do a check at 12,000. this alone should change the nay sayers oppinions on low milage intervals.

I have ran 5K on my Hemi since I started using M1.

The Viper gets about 300-500 a change and SRT 1000-2000 (1 year).

EAO42-EA

click on the link in my earlier post. the picture is just a generic amsoil filter but you need the 42, same as mine.
ive already put amsoil in my diffs, and need a tranny flush and will be putting amsoil in that as well.

amsoils kill every other oil in the ball bearing wear test, has a higher flash point than other synth, even the great MOB1

My company pays for one oil change per month, which is every 3,000-4,000 miles for me. Any reason not to?
