braking shimmy mystery
My truck is an '06 4x4 and it was a salvage title front end damage. not enough to deploy the airbags. and the frame is straight as an arrow to my knolage.
OK so when I apply the brake I get a vibration.
I do NOT feel it in the brake pedal.
I do NOT feel it in the Steering Wheel.
I does seem to come and go a little.
I have had the rotors tuned and that did not help.
The tire Rods are new with only 2k miles on it.
This may sound wierd but if I am braking on slighly rough terain (like your average old pothole filled in road) I swear the vibration goes away.
It only seems to be there when I brake on smooth even road.
Any ideas where I should start to look? I'm planing on putting a leveling kit on it here in a couple of weeks so that would be a good time.
