180 T Stat

Default 180 T Stat

on moes performance i was looking at T Stats and its $35 for a JET and $17 for a Mr. Gasket. Whats the difference? sounds kinda expensive for a T Stat

That is a sizable difference. Is one a fail-safe? I wish I could find one of those. I've had t-stats stick closed an' it ain't fun.

One is all stainless steel and offers a lifetime warranty, the other is copper & aluminum and does not...

It's up to you. I saw no problem investing $32 for the Jet when I got it to protect the engine in my $32,000 truck. Others posted on here they thought it was highway robbery and would NEVER pay over $10 for a thermostat...

the jet is stainless steel and is a 2 stage design, which means its like the stock one and will allow the coolant to warm up faster; which is good. I havent heard of anyone throwing codes with this stat.

the mr gasket isnt a 2 stage design, also I have seen people who use this one throw codes for being too cold. someget codes, some dont..another stat to consider is a stant. I havent heard of anyone throwing codes with this stat, and it is about the same price as the mr.gasket; only thing is you may have to trim it down a hair to fit your truck.

02-05 should fit 06. I dont think dodge changed the size if the stat housing
