As stated above, you'll see a slight MPG gain, more power to the rear wheels & quicker acceleration from an e-fan. The other huge advantage, IMO, is that at slow speeds, such as summer stop and go traffic, your e-fan will pull a constant cfm, and not be running slow as engine rpms decrease. This greatly reduces your chances of over-heating. Also a big benefit off-road, as you are often crawling and very susceptable to over-heating with a stock fan. Also, if you install a manual over-ride switch on the dash, you can cut it off when crossing water or muddin', so as not to pull mud or cruddy water across you radiator fins and into the engine compartmant...

I suggest you look at the Flex-A-Lite 180 Extreme, available at Moe's and many other places...

Ditto that and a better price as well. Moe's is top-notch. Relatively easy install. The hardest part is getting the d*mn old fan clutch off. Either rent something from Advance or buy a spanner for $30. Definitely a good thing to do.

Anyone have a direct link? I just heard about doing this. I also have an 04 4.7 if one will give me any advantage? My water pump went out right after muddin, but I don't know if muddin was the cause. Anywho, what's a good price for an e-fan? And is it plug and play installation? I'm a bit skeptical! Anyone have a DIY????
