Default diff covers/gears

diff cover sounds like a cheap mod that looks good but i was wondering about the performance of the cover as far as fluid movement.
does the design help or lack in the rear end? ive seen a lot of designs and wouldnt want to get one that would hurt my truck.

also i usually haul materials and trailers and was gonna modify the rear end. what would be a good gear or set up for my truck?

what gears are in my truck now?

thanks

hell, if you tow a lot of stuff, especially trailers, get some 456's put in there homey.

the only cool ones ive seen were for the 10.25+ ie iron cross, ram head.
derrick nobodys gonna see your rear diff, 4x2!!! lol, hell even the stock 4x4s on 20s is pushing it as far as being able to see the rear diff cover. ive seen some cool tube bar guards for em..

I have often thought about getting one of these http://moesperformance.com/index.php...oducts_id=1373
Would be an easy way to keep an eye on your gears, and its something not alot of people have

I've got a chrome one sitting in the garage waiting for fluid change time to put it on.
Obviously, it's not gonna give me the extra fluid capacity that a Mag-Hytech would, but those things are not cheap.
Only knock I've heard on the cheapy chrome covers is that if they are thinner than the stock one, you might be more inclined to hear gear whine that a thicker cover would muffle a little better...

Nah.............the cheapy chrome ones rust like crazy.[:@]
Either leave the stocker on, or put a Mag-Hytech or PML ally one on.
Even when you religously clean these chromies, they rust.

well the thinner cover will heat up a lot more as well. heat will mess up chrome.... im liking that see through or red one. but in reality if i were to buy one it would be a high cap one, otherwise i dont see the reason to spend the money. unless its on the iron cross one or ram head
