there is a way but its goingcost some money. You have to replace the lifters with non-mds lifters and have your PCM flashed to get rid of the msd electronics andthere may be more involved.

i'd want that **** off too. that's the whole reason i hate the new 'hemi'. sure they have hemispherical piston heads or whatever, but, the engines are not a computer moreso than an engine. if i wanted a v8 truck, i wouldn't have gone dodge.

The heads really arn't a true hemi head. I have my heads off right now and when they were at the machine shop they had a "real" hemi head off a 426 in they're shop. Big difference from the "new" hemi and an old hemi head.

As for turning the MDS off....
The Diablosport Predator will disable the MDS on the 5.7L Hemi in the Charger. It "should" also work on our engine. It is also great for tuning. Here is a description of what exactly it can do.

Man, that's been hot stove material here as long as I've been on this forum. I'm with you and when I replace my truck, if it's not a CTD, then it will be a 2500 Hemi.1) Because I'll not own an IFS truck again and 2) Because I personally wouldnever get a truck with MDS.

There was a thread a few months ago debating it, got pretty hot and heavy...

Oh yea, and for the original poster: KRC Performance has a kit to get rid of MDS:
Non-MDS Conversion kit for the MDS vehicles to run higher RPM and cam lift over .500" Includes non MDS lifters, MDS core plugs, head gaskets and custom flash to remove the MDS code in the engine controller. 6000-7000 rpm capability.
$649 with programming
