before i go ripping apart my dash, are the dials and numbers and gages stock green or are the bulbs green im only asking because id like to change my instrument panel to blue, there is a great forum in the 3rd gen ram forums but im debating doing it if im only goin to get a blue green

also what number or size bulbs are used in the dash, or what should i use to replace them

anyone that has changed their dash please post pics

 

I didn't think there was a bulb in the instrument panel. I thought the light was molded into the panel and couldnt be changed.

 

Glad you decided to come to the ram section instead of tearing up your dash trying to find a bulb you will never find... lol I believe firemedic is right. They come in the speedometer look em up you can find them in all colors you want.. i even saw some bad *** flames that dance with the beat of your music... You can find anything man just research.

 

Huh? The dealership had to replace a bulb since my gas guage fuel light wasn't lighting up because they said it was burnt out???????? I think there are bulbs....maybe parts/service knows this?

 

This is def a good question sounds like something i am interested in doing also if possible and not much to it ,maybe a DIY coming soon

 

Yeah, I'd like to have the scoop on this if another bulb burns out soon lol.

 

I changed the light on my 02 from green to blue.It looked faint because the bulb was so blue but I could still see at night.Lemme look for pic.There is actually an aftermarket bulb for our trucks.

The bulbs are white and do come out. The dials are green.

Whaaaat? they have bulbs! I have the stylin trucks magazine and the speedometer gauge comes inside the speedometer... maybe its just the ones theyre selling or somehting didnt know there was a bulb... In the mag you can even change the color...or have ones with flames that dance... wasnt aware. CRMRAM where can you get that blue bulb dude? i thought i haad to buy the whole gauge again to make it blue..
