Well insurance came out and did their thing but the figure was low. Told the guy that I called around and priced a new tailgate and he seemed surprised i really even cared. He was also surprised to hear that I had called all of the salvage places in the metro area to contact me should this scum bag try to pawn it off. Next I wentto fill out a police report and the police officer had the personality of a stick and seemed pissed that I even wasted his time with filling out a report. Did you know that the police office is only open to the public M-F 8am to 6pm. Glad to see that the police are there for us good citizens 10 hours a day while criminals have 24 hour access to them.. (just sarcastic humor). This serves only to shore up my feelings on exacting justice the ol' fashion way rather then get the police, courts, and DA involved.

Yes my spare tire is still there and they did not even steal my Texas A&M hitch. Do not send me messages about Texas A&M or how some other college is better.... because they are NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope the low life has my tailgate on his truck! My daughter made a mark on the plastic spoiler a few months back when i was putting the tow package on the truck. I am going to make it a habit to walk by every dark gray dodge ram 1500 i encounter and look for the mark. If so...... justice will be served! Tires, windows, truck body are all fair game and of course i will recover my tailgate!
