When I had mine done in June of '06, the installation of front & rear, install kit and an Auburn LSD was $475, would have been a bit more, but I negotiated the install of the LSD for no charge by purchasing it from them and having it done all at the same time.
So I'd imagine with a 4x2, he's saving himself at least $250 or so in labor...
