yeah, you can always run a stock deck on subs. subs are just an add-on. stock deck just doesnt have all the features and it doesnt have the sound quality of an aftermarket one.

 

I kept my stock deck when I installed my 10" JL sub under my rear seat. My amp is under my driver seat. Sound is great...even with my stock deck. I also installed an aux cable that hooks through my stock deck to my i-pod (charges too). Nothin' wrong with the stock deck.

 

I went with the factory look, I built a custom box that replaced my center seat. Sounds awesome and hits hard.
