Default A/C blower at Full Bore

I notice today I turned on my A/C on comming home from work It was wide open at full bore and not much air was comming out of the vents so I turned the ventswicth to anouther setting to see if it would change the direction of the air flow to anounther vent it took awhile for this to swicth still very little air flow I can hear the blower motor spinnning at full bore still with very little air flow comming out of the vents.

I put the vent swicth to the proper settings and still it took a long time for it to swicth back to that vent settings with very little air flow I remember in the past when the blower was on this settting on high after a while I had to turn it down it blew so hard.

Any Ideas I still under warrenty for anouther 3000 miles but hate take it in and dealing with the wait is there any quick fixes for this with out bring it to the dealer and waiting all day for them to give a song and dance routine and tell me either it's normal they cant find any thing wrong with it leave it over night and get the same answer or we have to order parts come back in a month and still get a song and dance about they still dont know what wrong with it steelerships you got to love them.

I drive a 2006 Q-Cab 1500.

A common problem. The blend door in the dash is wacked. Not an easy do it yourself. Take it to your dealer. They have to go into the dash. Covered under warranty.

Yep... my truck had same problem. Dealer replaced at their expense since it was under warranty. Before the waranty goes out i think i will take back in again and have them check out the truck blend doors one last time.

It's now making a loud rumble at high speed blower settings I have to wait for payday most likly they will tell me to leave the truck with them so I need to get a rent a car I sorry I still think Chrsyler should supply a Free rent a car if you car or truck has to be tied up in there shop one of the reasons we buy new cars or truck They should be problem free thats means if they do break and you need to bring it do to Warrenty work they should supply you with a car for the time it takes to fix you'rs.

I dont know about you I spent some good money on buying this Truck It not the top of the line But it was new.

I'd say take it to the stealership ASAP and have them fix it since it's still under waranty. It sounds like it's going to be a couple of days to fix and/or some $$$$ if you didn't still have a waranty. Call the dealer and talk to a manager and see if you can't get a free rental.

my dealership had to order the part and it took two days for it to come in. Get it into the dealership ASAP! The fix is an all day deal with them having to remove the dash.

Man, after being here for several months and reading about all these problems, I'm really glad I spent the extra $2k on the extended warranty. I'm fully covered bumper to bumper for 6 years/100k miles after the factory non powertrain warranty is up. I guess I'll think twice about lifting or anything else that may void the warranty.
