IMPROVED MPG Vs. Mod Cost
i have been on the DF for a while now and i have seen various ways owners have attempted to stretch the MPG on their truck.I am currious as to what mods you performed (including price) and what you increase (or decrease) in MPG was.
Please include model year, engine, mods + price, and +/- MPG.

RE: IMPROVED MPG Vs. Mod Cost
Vehicle and mods are in signature - with my Bully Dog Programmer on the preium tune - I have seen as high as 17.2 on the hwy at 67mph according to the display for over 20 miles - the highest I have avg. was 16.65 (hand calc)on a 480 mile trip - which is up from 14.7 (hand calc)stock - my city has gone from 9-10 (hand calc)to about 10.5-11(hand calc)- I didn't notice any increase in mpg with the Intake or the power wire.

RE: IMPROVED MPG Vs. Mod Cost
OK, this is going to be a long one. I'm gonna separate by the ones I feel hurt mpg and the ones I feel helped.
MPG Killers:
Rancho 4" SuspensionLift kit 35" Dick Cepek FCII tires
Warn winch Trans4mer Grill & Brush guards
4.56 Gears180* Thermostat
Toolbox (only 'cause it has 350# of tools, welding& recovery gear in it)
MPG Gainers:
K&N CAI Flowmaster 50HD muffler (cat back)
Pacesetter LT Headers Superchips Flashpaq
I also have quite a few "cosmetic" mods that probably only hurt me a smidge due to the combined weight of all of them.
Currently I am getting about the same mpg's I got bone stock and about 1 mpg worse in the interstates. But I don't think that's shabby because I'm weighing in at just shy of 7000 lbs. with the toolbox full. And you don't want to know the total cost...
