Default RE: MOPAR Remote Start

Hi Folks,

My first post, I have been searching for remote start information regarding my 04 Dodge Cummins.

I had the MOPAR remote start and the dealer was able to slence the horn. I don't know what he did but when I asked him if it could be done he only took about a minute to accomplish it.

I had the MOPAR remote removed for a refund last week. It had a problem starting at very low temperatures. The solution was to relearn the tach at a higher rpm. Unfortunately, that caused the starter to run after the truck had started at higher temperatures.

BTW, the MOPAR remote is manufactured by Code Alarm, not Chrysler. It uses a 30 second default start delay for the diesel which is too long. The Ram will pre-heat for a maximum of 12 seconds so there are 18 seconds for the grid heater to cool back down in cold temperatures.
