Default Wheel and tire size for lowered truck.

2 inch front 4 inch rear drop 04 QC 2wd. I want a 20" wheel, how wide can I fit and what is a good performance type of tire that will fit? I'm kinda goping for a full size craftsman truck look if you will. Also what brands should I look at for overall value considering tread life, grip, and wet weather driving.

I have 295/50/20 with no issues on a 2/4 drop. The tires I have are General Grabber UHP's and they are awesome especially with wet and dry traction.

wait, youre lowering with 20's? i say thats a big NO NO!!!! to lower and make it look good, you gotta get 24's. 20's is stock size. too much rubber for a truck thats lowered.

well i'm runnin a 305/40/22 on my truck, and the rear tires rub slightly on the inside of the wheel wells....i have Cooper Zeon XST on mine and they are amazing in wet weather and all other conditions (except snow cause they are directional tires)

I forgot to ask about wheel width, I'd like to go 10", and back spacing.

Helopilot you got any profile pics?
HighDuke thanks but that's not the look I'm going for.
Mellow what's your backspacing? What about the tires as far as ride quality, noise and handling.

not sure what the backspacing on my wheels are (there the stock SRT10 22")...as far as ride quality and all that stuff, ya can only expect so much from a tire with a low profile but really i'd say their really good...i can't hear any road noise with these tires and i think the handling is excellent

HeloPilot thats the look I'm after. Do you think there is any room for wider tires there? What about your wheels width and backspacing?
These are all nice looking trucks thanks for the replies.
