Platinum+4 Plugs (YAY OR NAY)
alright, so what the crap do you guys think?
i think those platinum +4 plugs are a complete marketing gimmick...as well as any other plugs offering more than one 'prong'. maybe it does give you better gas mileage and what not (as would any plugs), but so many people i know back up the plugs' awesomeness by saying/thinking that you you get 4 sparks. i tell everyone, you still get one spark, and it's gonna be the closest gap that the spark will jump. but i guess with the 4 prongs, the life may be extended...cause, when one prong's gap increases, there are the other 3 that are still where they were when you first got them...so in regards to the increasing gap that occurs, you have 4times the life (but...that doesn't mean your actual electrode will last that long)
i have ngk plugs. they're iridium, and they were sort of expensive, but they're still "basic" looking plugs. i just changed them only after15000 miles...i notice a bit of response/torque in the low-end (needless to say, with the 3.7 liter, i could feel every mod i've done fairly drastically).
anyways, point-in-point, i think the platinum+4 plugs are stupid. what do you guys think?

Might just be me... But i put the Bosch Plat + 4 plugs in both... my 318 dakota and my v6 dakota... did'nt get better MPG's... no better accleration... nothin... just a basic running truck...
those multiple electrode plugs are just a marketing gimick. besides it is the center electrode that will deteriate over time, not the outer one.
in my yoda I cna tell a difference between AC Delco's, NGK's, and the bosch platnum(single electrode) and out of all three I get the best performace out of the bosch's. but then again it is a toyota.
just get yourself some good single electrode plugs and be done with it.

How about those pulstar plugs that put out 1,000,000 sparks or whatever they say..

The Hemi does not want nor needthe cooler range plantinum plugs. It runs and performs better with cheap old copper plugs, the down side is you replace more often. Can not say what the V6 likes or wants though.
