removing cats
Last I heard of simulators being bought, they were about $75 each. Do the $5 non-fouler trick instead. I've even heard from some that the simulators threw a code, but the non-foulers didn't.
And you must have cut the resonator, because if you ditched a cat, you'd have had instant code...

I had a maxima which had a bolt on cat.After 90k it was sluggish so i unbolted it and used a air chisel to knock everything out of
the inside.Bolted it back up so it could still pass inspection and noticed a huge difference.I was hoping to do that to my dodge untill i saw there were
no bolts.Too bad i dont know how to weld.

The cats are covered as an emission item under warranty. They should be covered for 10yrs/100k I think. check your manual for confirmation for your truck. If so, the dealer will replace them for free.
