Default To supercharge or not to supercharge?

So i have a friend who has a 1996 ram with the 360 and i have the 2002 ram with the 360 and we were talking the other day and he told me he would sell me his Powerdyne supercharger kit with everything for $700.00 now i hate to pass it up but already having my tranny replaced 3 times in 76,000 miles i am thinking my heavy foot and a supercharger may end in a catastrophe!!!! But would i be stupid to pass this deal up?

It is a great deal, although you don't want to sacrifice the reliability of your truck. Is it your daily driver or just a weekend cruiser? I would assume DD since most trucks are. Sorry I don't have more advice than that. I know I would jump at the chance.

The SC will not hurt a DD, it actually could increase MPGs if you can manage to keep your foot out of it.

Aren't Powerdynes internally lubricated? Where others like Procharger get lubrication from the engine oil, which I prefer....Just something to think about.

i dont really know a whole lot about the lubrication of the powerdyne or any other supercharger but i think for 700 dollars i am going to get it!! If i decide i dont want it i am sure i can post it in the for sale section and another 5.9 360 owner will buy it!

yea definitely do it... but i agree with 345hemiram with if its your DD you might not want to... and with the reliability of the truck... but for $700, i see why you're on the fence... but when push comes to shove, id do it...
