About to loose my virginity ... to the track
abarmby its all good baby, no need to act like yer on the rag.
Socal- while it doesn't affect your time quite often the guy that gets the hole shot will get down and win even with the slower car.
Now slower car means by .01 or .02 seconds.
Stax, you can also do the op of deepstage, and just barely creep up from prestage, just far enough to get the staging lights to come on, your time speed stats dont start till you break the foul line once you see green. This way you vehs already moving its tires before your time starts. A bit more helpfull when you're trying to build boost in your turbo.
Oh and if they ask you what your truck should run dont handicap it by saying 17etc because a lot of place will foul you out if when you race and you come in a bit more under your stated time.

No need to disconnect the battery cable when resetting the PCM.
1) Pop hood
2) Pull PCM fuse
3) Get in truck and put on seatbelt
4) Turn key to start and hold until 2 dings are heard
5) Take out key, get out, and put pcm fuse back in
6) Start it and drive it like you want it to perform

my race with a 4.6 f150:
60: my 2.576 to his 2.664
1/8: my 11.253 to his 11.293
1000: my 14.655 to his 14.502
1/4: 17.572 to his 17.237
it was awesome knowing i was that far ahead off the line.
good to see the comparison with the ferd, a neighbor has a new ferd and says it can cook a hemi. I though he was full of **** as my buddy just had a ferd rental truck for a few weeks and that ****er was slow. So didnt think the larger engine would be much better.
Im still terrible at my R/T's. My first time at the track believe it or not was my best reaction time so far. I think i got a .975. This last thursday i hit my best 1/8 mile, but with a rection time of 1.165. I got a 9.175 @ 76.29, and all this talk about dumping the spare tire and lowering tire pressure makes me wonder if i can get into the high 8's.
As far as fords are concerned, dont even waste your gas. My 1st gen tundra (4.7 245 hp stock, 270 hp after mods) with intake, exhaust, headers, programer, and shift kit would blow the doors off them, but at best could only keep up with a stock hemi. Theyre a waste of time, and gas.

I was looking at other people's times last night...I can just imagine what my truck would do if I went south...we are at 2191.6 ft elevation here in Edmonton...I know the diesel trucks run a lot better in the states cause of the different elevation...I am going to try and clear my pcm today and take her for a rip on the back roads...Heck, it's mother's day and I will do what I want too [:'(]
