My personal rule of thumb is for stock size up to about 32.5" tires, the 4.10's are ideal. Gives you the best balance of power and fuel economy. Anything at 33" or over and 4.56's would be the best choice.
If you currently have 3.55's then a switch would be highly recommended. If you currently have 3.92's, I don't know if you'd see a big enough difference to justify the cost if you went to 4.10's. I went from the stock 3.92's to 4.56's after lifting and going to 35" tires and the difference was night/day...

would 4.56's make a difference with 35's? i have 3.92's right now and it is sluggish as hell. if so where would be the best spot to get the new gears and what brand?

That said, I don't think any one name brand is significantly better than another. This mod is ALL about the installation. This is one you need to find a qualified shop/tech and pay their price to have it done right. Setting gears is not easy, especially in the Chrysler Corporate (AAM) axles, and needs to be done by someone with experience at it.
Popular places to purchase are: Moe's Performance, Air Ram, Randy's Ring & Pinion & 4 Wheel Parts. Google them for the link...

if you open up your glove box and on the back panel there should be a sticker with that info, if not call your local dealer and give him your vin number. also i had the 3.55 in my 4.7 dakota, switched them out for towing purposes and what a big difference it made around town, gained about two miles to the gallon and pretty much stayed the same on the interstate. my swap ran me about 1600.00 for gears, bearing kit, axle seals, oil, labor, tax. 4 x 4 ,
