remember autotrader is just waht's posted up, not what you'll actually get for it. i'm with hammer, I don't want you to get screwed, but that's the only place I see this going. you seem like a smart person, ahve you done the math behind this? you'r gonna get f'd if you sell that truck.

Let's think positive. With the mods you have done, it's a great deal. [sm=trust_me.gif]

I don't know what worse, trying to sell a 2500 Hemi or Cummins. Diesel is so high but gets better gas mileage and the 2500 Hemi gets terrible gas mileage but costs less to fill up. Man if there was anyway for you to buy a $2000 beater, do it, you are going to kick yourself in the @$$ everyday that you drive your car and roll up to a truck half as nice as yours!

My 05, non MDS gets 14 on average. That is with my new rim/tire setup, which lowered it a little, more soon the highway than in the city. 85% city driving average. The truck is due fo rhe 30K maintenance, which I will be doing next week. Will be interesting to see if that has a impact.

I could be talked into selling it.... Not like it would have to go at any particular time either. So if you had to sell your truck first, you could buy whenever. I would just be going to the dealer and picking something else out.

diesel is about 20% more expensive around chicago right now ($4.89 vs $4.05 I saw yesterday). diesel engines also get about %20 better economy than gas engines. So as far as economy goes right now, it's a wash. that %20 difference should come down a bit in the coming months due to being back to using #2 diesel and less people using heating oil and such.

Talk about a Cummins, damn if I was in any kind of financial shape to do it, my local Dealer has new '08 2500 CTD 4x4's advertised in the Sunday paper with a list of $45,000 selling for $32,000. When I bought my truck new, you couldn't get them to takeone red cent of off CTD's! I've got over $8000 in my truck in mods alone (and that's with doing 90% of the labor myself), at that big of a discount, I'd not get offered squat for my truck. Plus to afford it, I'd have to sell or trade my GC daily driver since, unlike my truck, I still owe on it. Ain't no way on earth I could afford a CTD as my only ride!!!

Just something nice to have and better on gas... I can still use my dads truck or my friends trucks when i need them.... so yea... the situation isnt the best to be in...

i read an article on yahoo! news the other week. and it said that people are better off keeping their SUV's than trading in for a gas sipper. the monthly payments will be the same amt of $$ as it is for gas. unless you have cash for a gas sipper, id keep the truck then!
