I'm just running the 87 octane setting with the only other adjustment is tire size.

My '98 ran great on the tow setting and on premium fuel with the Superchips for that truck, but with the price of fuel I'm not sure if I'm ready to run premium. I know my mileage was better running the tow setting on my '98, but I don't think it was enough to offset the price of the premium fuel. I just ran it in the summer when I wanted that little extra out of my 5.2L.

Since the Hemi is running about 120 more hp than my 5.2L I haven't had the urge yet to try the other settings on the flashpaq yet.

i'm hearing running performance tune set for running 91 octane while running 93 octane gives you quite a boost in economy. heard this on quite a few posts now.

I am running the 91 tune on 92 gas. I also have all the shift points maxed out on the tuner. It has given me a nice bump in performance and economy.

I calculated it out about a year and a half ago. The best thing you can do for fuel economy is to use the performance tune and spend the extra at the pump for the 93 octane. The better mpg's I got, outweighed the difference in cost between 87 & 93 octane. It may cost you more per fill-up, but you'll be filling up less often...
