Default Factory Radio Problems

So i think im an idiot. So i tried to load a CD into my CD player for the first time today and it wont except them. I tried putting it into the beginning of the slot and pressing load and it acts like something is in the way. Its the 6 CD-changer Factory radio for an 06 Ram 1500. Am i really this stupid or is there something wrong with it. Ive never messed with a 6 CD-changer in a car before, but seriously im stumped. I feel dumb for even asking.

you have to press the load button and wait for the screen to say load disc before you put the disc in.

Forgot, after pressing load you have to press one of the number keys( 1-6 ) to designate which slot the disc is going. Then wait for the screen to say load disc before inserting.

Yeah so that still didnt work lol. I just wish i could put a CD up to it and it would suck it in. When i hit load and then 1 it just changes to a different preset on the radio. And i dont see anywhere on it so activate the CD code. I hit mode and it only selects my Sirius Radio and thats it. Then i push am/fm and it just selects between those 2. Im lost.

You might have to get a new radio. My 06 had a similar problem where it seemed like it was always trying to load/eject a CD. It would not give me the choice of CD player and just go to the Sat. Radio. Take it into the dealership and they should replace or fix it if your still under warrenty.

it should be a quick fix.... I say that but the first radio they got to replace mine, for some reason would not allow my truck to start. They ordered a new one and when I took it in I was out on there in like 15 mins.
