f!ck! should have waited a few more months like my dad said. paid 17 for mine with 50k on it. could have had one 2 years and 20k newer. sonofabitch.
That'sokxfee, if I was gonna buy a used1500 Hemi 4x4, itwould be an '04or '05.The '03s don't have the tuning support and Ipersonallykinda like the fine tuning of the torsion bar front end and amno fan of MDS.
Plus I think the headlights of the '06+ trucks are ugly and the tail lights of the'07+ trucks is down right awfull. You've got a good truck there, just take care of it and it'll serve you for a long time...

I used to think about the same thing when the 06 first came out. Because I've had a 03, 04 and 05 up to that point and the front and rear looked totally jacked up to me too. But time went by and it finally grew on me I think they look good now.

I'm still liking the '07 I found for $19k w/ 4k miles on it + step bars, exhaust, tonneau, front end leveling kit, spray-in bedliner, and tint. I still don't think that's a bad deal at all. I'm going to look at an '06 today which is loaded (leather, heated seats, etc), but it was 41k miles on it. However, it's Patriot Blue which is my favorite color.

41k miles is only 10 times more than 4k miles and it's also a year older and no factory warranty. Hope that Patriot blue looks as nice when your writing a check to your mechanic. Get the 07 I love mine.

Rick,

I realize that. I had actually decided to go and try to work a deal on the '07 w/ 4k miles, but the dealership is closed today, which surprised me. I thought all major dealerships were open on Memorial day because of all the sales they run! Oh well.... I won't be able to get out there until next weekend, because the dealer is about 1.5 hours away. I'll keep my eyes open. The longer I drive my car, the less I will have to pay in gas.

My '03 has 140k miles. It plows snow, is used in my concrete construction business and off roaded for trail maintenence for ATV/snowmobile trails. It has had a rough life. Problems so far; a/c fan, A/C compressor, ball joints twice (replaced with greaseable), front axel u-joints (replaced with greaseable), dash panel failure($1200 Ouch), sealed front hubs (both) and a power steering box leak. This truck is shown no mercy and has held up better than any other truck I have ever owned.I used to trade in my trucks at about 75k miles, this one I think I'll keep until it rots away. I may buy a new one to drive and keep this one for work. It's worth nothing in trade, but worth keeping around based on how good it's been to me. I live in Ford country, but seeing what my truck puts up with several "Ford guys" around here are driving Dodge now.
