My "Lamp Out" warning light went off in my 04 SLT, and I replaced the only bulb that was out. The light is still on. Any Ideas why?

 

This model is known for having problems with the tail light strip (bulb holder). You may need to replace it...

 

You mean all of the bulbs or the taillight assembly?

 

I think David means the tail light strip. I know other people have had this problem with the "light out" and in the past I have had it come on and a few days later another bulbwent out. But before you go get a new tail light strip, make sure the blubs are pluged in all the way and make sure your signal, brake, and back up lights are working. Just my $.02.

Mine did this...you check the break light? have someone hit the breaks and check it

Had the same problem... replace the socket assembly. scrap yard, cheaper.

 

I had this prob. It was just a tail light that went out. Fixed it in 5 minutes. No biggie.

 

I had the same issue on my 03 - it was the upper bulb in the rear light. After changing it 2 times, the dealer noted that possibly the strip was shorting somewhere. They replaced it and I have not had any issues since then.
