While enjoying the long weekend I had some time on Sunday to give my truck it's first bath. I just broke 14K miles (since Nov.)and I can say that I really enjoymy truck. I have driven/owned almost every version of the Ram since thier debut in 94 and I can sayI have loved different ones for different reasons. The fastestand most fun one was a96 green sport 5.9L 3602WD with all of the mopar go fast goodies at the time...a lot of fun. The best work horse was my01 2500 4wdlong box Cummins H.O...oh how I miss her (RIP). Overall I am happy with my new 08 though, Ilove the leather interior, sunroof, and am actually quite happy with the new 4.7L. I had a heck of time trying to make up my mind on buying the 4.7L or the 5.7L but in the end I bought this truck for a steal and I could not see paying another $28 per month for the Hemi plus I knew gas was going to over $4 a gallon and where I live I can get ethanol.

Anyways just wanted to share some pics. The only thing I have done so far is to tint the front three windows, added "flex-fuel" badges to front fenders, K&N air filter, added 2-JL Audio 10" subs under the seat with a switch to turn them off when my daughter is in her carseatand removed the section of pipe and resonator that connects to the muffler. I think removing this make the truck look a whole lot tougher. Just my two cents though.

Did you tint the windshield? Is that legal?

 

Thanks - Yes I tinited the windshield too. Although the guy who did it had to redo because he did it the first time like a 2 year old andI was ticked. The tint was scratched, miss cut and had bubbles still after 3 days.

No it is not legal in Michigan but niether is having the two front windows tinted. They don't pull you over or mess with you around here unless you are already doing something like speeding. All of my cars have been tinted since 2001 and the only problem with the tint was on my black SVT Lightning.My wife got pulled over because she was going through a seat belt enforcement zone and they could not tell if she had it on or not.

thanks dude. i loooooove the leveling kit. soooo glad i did it. wish i did it sooner. i love looking down at other trucks. the ride height is so much better. def love it. but ya im in va now but im going to texas tech in the fall and ima get the windows tinted cuz the limit is alot better down there than here
