currently in oven at 250 for 1/2 hour. then they will sit for another half hour and cool.

repeat at 350, then repeat again at 600. should be as hard as a rock.

no, it's some ceramic/silica spraycan. it says up to 3000 degrees on it. and i had ti bake the **** out of it. if it doesn't stay on, no biggie. i had no idea how cheap powder coating was. i only did it last night cause i wanted to hurry up and get it done.

anyways, about the powdercoating, my uncle recently called some place in chicago to inquire about p-coating his wheels. they said it was $100 a wheel. i mean, that's not cheap, but it sure in the hell isn't as expensive as i thought it would be. if i really wanted to, i could have them do my headers, but i'm extremely inpatient. and i wanted to head to iggy's exhaust this morning...but failed at that...seeing as i just woke up.

looks pretty good smash. did you prep it at all or did you just spray with the engine paint? i really want to paint my exhaust tubing where you can see it through the back.

Looks good. Excuse my ignorance but was this treatment done more for the paint application or to temper the headers?
