I did something similar, except i put the light on the left hand side of the driver on the little removable plastic piece. It actually works out well and at night, it doesnt blind me.. all i have to do is glance down real wuick and see it...

I would assume that it is the same for the 07 model but I don't know.

I learned my lesson about getting a higher end factory unit. My truck has the base unit with the front mounted aux in plug plus the Sportster 5 is an awesome receiver. I love the pause and replay feature, the color screen and the IR remote.

Looking from the front of your truck, it is on the left side back at the firewall. There are four connectors. It is the third one from the top.
