it should be at 700 rpm.

High idle is something the ctds can modify.

I have the exact same issue. I asked that question here a while ago and everyone told me it was normal and to live with it. Mine takes about 45 seconds to drop to 700 RPM. Is it normal or is there an issue here? Thanks. Red

My 08 Hemi does the same thing startup hits about 1400-1500 RPMs then it goes down after about 20-30 secs. Never really timed it out. It has done this since new and now has 4k on it.

I wish mine would idle at 700rpm. Many times I have been backing the boat up and have to cut the wheel hard and quick and the engine would die if I hit limit of my wheel too hard.

I can make my engine die anytime. All I have to do is let the engine idle then turn the wheel all the way left or right and then push a little harder then it dies.

not sure what is worse, that this is happening or that you haven't just taken it in under warranty....................

mine idles high to at start up ( regardless of engine temp ), feel kinda silly sitting at the gas station idling till it drops but............ what can ya do.

Yall may want to run 0W oil so it gets in the engine quicker so those higher rpms don't cause too much metal on metal
