last summer i got cat back exhaust and it sounded great till about this spring i started hearing a ticking sound it almost sounds like an exhaust manifold leak any ideas on what it could be should i get the stock header tightened or just go with aftermaket headers, and if so any suggestions on what kind?

 

that ticking sound is normal for Hemi

 

Typical Hemi, tick starts about 30K. But at least you don't usually hear it in the cab.

 

yeah, i went around and around with my dealer about the same noise. they said it was normal. i've had two trucks with the hemi and both make the same noise. oh well i guess.

 

I sthis the tick that sound very similar to a lifter tick?

 

no im prittysure its not the hemi tick cus my freind has the hemi tick on his truck and it dosnt sounds anyting like my truck it sounds like the header is leaking but u can only hear it when u touch the gas

 

Driver's side cat makes that noise. At least mine does now I changed my exhaust.

 

is there any way to fix that? cus its pissin me off

 

check for exhaust leaks...

 

mine does it too. never bothered me. stops when it gets warm.
