Does that mean that an '08 4.7 w/manual trans is putting about as must power to the ground, if not more, than a Hemi? I wouldn't imagine there would be any more than a 20% loss w/o a torque converter.

Hey Everybody, first post. I just traded in my 06 Charger R/T for my new 08 Ram 1500 QC. Yeah, stock Charger got 288/321 at the wheels. But also, I think the ram has what, a 70mm throttle body ? Correct me if I'm wrong, the Charger's come with 80mm, that would account for some decent hp drops i would think. I traded my car in on a whim and tried to take as much crap out of it as i could, got the nitrous bottle and tuner out of it.

Does anybody know if Diablo makes the Predator for the 08 Hemi ? Too bad the one from my charger wont freakin work on it.

Anyways, peace out guys.

Im pretty sure its just the 6.1 hemi that has the 80mm TB, all 5.7s have the 70mm...acording to the specs dodge puts out the chargers come with 5 more HP and 5 less TQ than the rams at the crank.... The reason for the higher #'s in the car is the different drive train

The 08 4.7L should be making 220-230 RWHP. In my opinion... Just shy of a HEMI. But With a few bolt on's they should run with or around a stock HEMI.

SPEED SAFE, AIR RAM

The weight of the vehicle has nothing to do with power to the wheels.

More weight only slows it down because its harder to get moving fast.

My 04 4X4 QC with only CAI, catback exhaust and 4.56 gears made 267.5 at the rear wheels.

Truck had around 5000 miles on it.

Its the automatic that steals all that power.
What 1/4 mile times is your truck running now?

YA right Ramitone tundras suck they're damn jap traps.xfeejayx is right it is heavy next to a tundra because the tundras are freaking pieces of crap and they're made out of plastic
actually, the Tundra is lighter due to Toyota going with a different frame setup than the typical trucks (and yes plastic too). I gotta go find the article, but I think Tundras have x braces underneath and lighter 'frame rails' instead of the massive beams running under our trucks. It's actually a brilliant design...if it works. I don't know if it does or not, so I'll hold off opinion. but for the price of the tundra, can get a ram 2500 CTD + a smarty. Would smoke a Tundra.

i always hear about these super fast disels, and see em on youtube, but never seen one in person, or at the track. As far as the frame goes, its alright, a little shakey on bumpy roads, but no regrets. I think stock 5.7L tundras are putting down 330 hp to the wheel stock, so im hoping with my mods im at least putting down 340-345hp. Tuners are just becoming availble. We dont have half the after market you guys have though.

I got my rcsb 5.7 SR5 for 25k, what do rumble bees go for?
