Default Tic coming from the right side of engine (Not Hemi tick)

well my truck has roughly 14,500 miles on it n is pretty heavily modified... about a week ago i started hearing a fairly loud tick coming from the passenger side of my engine. I did all the simple stuff.. header gaskets, collector gaskets n all that stuff. Do you think it could be a vavle spring? I took the truck out on friday and towards the end up the drive (which was less than 2 miles) my idle dropped 100 rpm and became rough. Im not tossing any codes I already put my scanner on it. Anyone have any ideas? Thank you.

The valve spring would be a good place to start. Pull the valve cover it should be pretty easy to spot. I would want to know now.

I would take it to the dealer. If it’s still under warranty it's dodge's problem. My $0.02

How do engine mods effect your warranty status? I hope it's just a spring!

What mods do you have?....I would pull the valve cover and rotate the engine (by hand), and make sure all the rocker arms are moving, and closely inspect everything. Also pull the sparkplugs and inspect them.

The older 30/04 hemi's had a problem with busting valve springs, here is a link to a set of 6.1L exhaust valve springs, this is a price for all 16 springs. These springs have almost as much seat pressure as Manleys, and more than Comp's and thay are less than 80 bucks. If you need any technical help with changing springs, let me know, I have done several sets.
