i built this really nice box and covered it in black diamond plate.. before i didnt have an amp hooked up, so it didnt rattle. but now with the amp it bangs! so where the sub sits in the hole it rattles

i dont think the diamond plate rattles on the wood but the sub ratles on the diamond plate...any rubber bushing you can think of will fit a 12" circular hole?

You could just get some weatherstripping and stick it on, then place the sub on top and screw it down.

I used some 1/4" foam that was sticky on one side for the lid to my tool box! works great

only problem with foam is that...air pushed from the sub might go through the foam...i noticed air was escaping from around the sub when it was in the box too.
