Default Bugs in radiator

I have noticed that due to the large openings and size of the grille, my radiator is already pretty well full of bugs. Has anyone else noticed this? Is there a good way to prevent it? Any suggestions for a safe way to clean them out? I only have about 1500 miles on my truck so I can already see that this will be a problem.

we had a huge butterfly invasion 2 summers ago. If they were locusts you'd think revelations was coming.
Take a hose to it or a brush. Its thin metal so it can bend but its not gonna bend if you touch it.

I was thinking of putting some screen behind my grille to prevent the damn things from getting into the radiator in the first place. Much easier to clean the screen.

I was just thinking of normal window screen... I don't know how much it would restrict airflow... It was just an idea I had.

Thats excatly what i did when i brought my 04 standard cab home back in 2004. I have seen no difference in engine temp or anything else. I am using standard window screen secured to the honeycomb grill inserts with some crafting wire. Once every 2 yrs i replace the screen due to it tearing from the wire but thats just normal maintenance now.

wouldn't think a window screen could hold up against 80mph winds.
