I was wondering if anyone know when the new technology for the hemi's started? With dropping down to four cylinders from 8. i was told it started in the 06 models, but he wasnt sure. so if anyone can tell me i would appreciate it. thanks

the mega cabs DO NOT have MDS, regardless of year.

 

neither do 2500's, or 3500's with the hemi. only the 1500 2 door and quad cab

I would look at the '08s left on the dealer lots. They are giving huge discounts and they come with a lifetime powertrain warranty.

 

cant afford a new one, but that is a good deal, a life time warranty, wow. i would really like to own a new one though. thanks again for the info. what model to you recommend? eg, slt, etc...

 

Id be willing to bet the used 06 is competitive pricewise with an 08 new off the lot.

 

Well I like mine (see signature). The Big Horn is just an SLT with a few extra things: big wheels, chrome billet grille, and I can't remember what else.

 

if i drive real good i can get 16ish mpg city.. but thats with a real light foot... normally i'll get about 14 mpg city, and i can easily get 17 or 18 on the interstate.
