Default Interior lights shutting off too soon

For several months now I've had a problem where the interior lights will shut off after exactly 15 seconds, and without the normal fade out. If I hit the lock/unlock switch, open/shut a door, they will come back on only to off after another 15 sec. Anyone else have this problem?

Thanks!

Default Same Problem

My 2006 RAM 1500 interior lights go out after 16-17 seconds which is very annoying. That's not enough time to get things out of the truck!
I haven't yet found anyone who has the solution.

On the 2006, you may be able to increase the "illuminated entry time" with the overhead console. Or the dealer can do it with the starscan...

Default I fixed it, at least for now.

I disconnected one terminal from the battery for a few seconds and then reconnected it.

With the front drivers door open, I waited several minutes and the interior lights stayed on.
I suppose they will turn off after 10 minutes per the owners manual.

After doing some ressearch online, this seems to be a common problem with the 2006 RAM.

i hate delays..they leave you wondering if you left the lights on or is it just the timer

My '06 used to do the same thing. I did the battery disconnect thing for a few minutes, and it has been fine ever since.

there may be a flash the helps with the interior lights turning off to soon with the door open
you can not increase interior time on with the star scan but you can change headlamp delay or how long you radio stays on after you turn off the key the interior lights are controlled by the ccn (cluster)
