Yea, as a 4x2 or '06+ 4x4 the front is a coil over and you'll use spacers. I like a level kit and body lift setup for a 4x2, where I personally like suspension lifts or a suspension/body combo on 4x4's. The suspension lift gives more travel to absord bumps off road. Although I've had three 4x4's with body lifts and they did fine, as you get older, you tend to not recover from getting bounced around the cab as quickly...

I have a stock 06 1500 QC 4X4. I was going to put a leveling kit on for starters until I save up my pennies for a suspension lift (but that's another topic.) Which is better a 2" or 2.5" or does it matter? Secondly, who makes the best? Thanks in advance.

Try this one. I believe MMStar has this on his truck.

Also, I dont know if they are adjustable. If they aren't, they could lift your front end higher than the rear. To get an accurate guess of how high you gotta go, measure the height to the top of the wheel well on the front and the rear and figure the difference. If its a 2" difference, get 2" level. If its 3", get a 3" level. Don't forget to do this on a flat surface.

Will I have to get longer shocks for that or can I stay with what I got? I read somewhere that anything over 3" and the shocks need to be changed, I don't know if that's true or not, though. Thanks for the info

I'm not sure. Hammer or mmstar23 can help you with that. Sorry.

Thats 4x4. And Suspension is the one area I would not cheap out and but off of ebay. Buy from a reputable store that has a warranty/guarantee.
My 2 cents.

well all the spacers are are just a piece of aluminum or hard plastic, theres nothing really that can go wrong. You could probably makes some yourself if you had the right tools. What ever spacer you get just make sure you or whoever installs it just takes their time and doesn't forget to tighten a bolt or something. ID say just get new shocks anyway, Once you see a factory one next to an aftermarkt, you'll know why.

This is the one that I'm looking at. I talked to a buddy of mine who did the leveling kit, and he said that he ended up changing his shocks, too. I'll probably do that.

Thanks for everyone's help. I appreciate it.
