Default leveling kit/ body lift?

i am going to put a 2in level kit and a 3in body lift on my 06 2wd 1500. i was reading on fatbobsgarage.com that the truck might "require a control arm kit when total lift height equals 3" or more." is this true because i dont want to put all of it on and then be like wtf!

I have pretty much that exact lift on my 2005, except I have a 2.5-3" leveling kit in the front with a 3" body lift, and I didn't have to do anything to the control arm.

Top gunz custosm for leveling kit, Performance Accessories for body lift. For independent front suspension yes it is usually a spacer. trucks with torsion bar front suspension need torsion keys, or can crank the torsion bar.

for the leveling kit you will need to get your suspension re-aligned or you will have massive shacking when at high speeds
