Default XD Rockstar wheels

Hey guys,
I am getting ready to start doing some modifications to my truck and i was wondering if anyone can give me a lil help. First I am going to install a 2.5" leveling kit and add some 18" XD Rockstar wheels with 35x12.5x18 Nitto Mud Grapplers. Does anyone know whether or not I will have any trouble with rubbing? I plan on putting a 3" body lift on also once i have the money saved up....so if there is rubbing with just the leveling kit, would i still have it after the body lift? Also, when i put the leveling kit how much longer should the shocks i buy be than stock? the same amout as the height of the lift?
Thanks for any help you guys can give me!

I am pretty sure you won't have any problem with rubbing, but don't take my word for it.

You wont have any rubbing. I have 18 inch rockstars with 35s and just a leveling kit, and I have no problem even when the wheel is turned all the way to either side!
If you get longer shocks its just going to lift the truck even more so you would have to lift the rear up as well. I am running the stock struts up front on mine and it feels just fine.

I have 18" Rockstars with 35 x 13 Nitto Dune Grapplersand only a 2" leveling kit, I had rubbing on the fenders! I have a 08 megacab I don't think that matters though. With a 2" leveling kit you can use your stock shocks.

I would reccomend going with longer shocks because if you hit hole they will over extend!

And longer shocks will not lift your truck, if that was the case everybody could afford to lift a truck and it wouldn't cost so much!

If longer struts up front wont lift the truck then where does the extra 2 inches go?? does it just allow more room for it to extend?
anyway when you do a leveling kit your struts aren't supposed to be effected, its just a spacer not anything more.

Besides when you do a leveling kit your struts aren't supposed to be effected, its just a spacer not anything more.
the extra 2" means that they can extend 2 inches longer at maximum extension, not that they lift the truck 2 inches. the extra 2 inches goes into the piston going into the cylinder an extra 2 inches. this decreases you compression length on your schock by two inches and might allow the shock to bottom out before you hit the bump stops, big no no. shocks have very very little to do with ride height, if anything at all.

the spacer in a way 'increases the length' of THE SPRING. You know, the thing that carries the weight of the truck. this ends up extending your shocks while just sitting there by 2" and, like nitto said, makes you more prone to over extension because now you have 2 inches less that the shocks can extend, or two inches mroe that the sprigns want to extend them, whichever way you want to look at it.

only time i have ever seen a longer shock lift a truck was when a 4" spacer was installed....yes a 4" block of steel. the shocks were pretty much over extended 100% of the time. the longer shocks allowed the coil to seperate as it wanted to rather than forcing it back down.

The 07's dont use shocks up front tho. Im not sure of what year they started this. They have a strut so I dont see how this is extending the spring. As far as I can see nothing changed in the spring rate or on the strut. I may be wrong but it wouldnt make alot of sense if it was effected.

it doesn't literally extend the spring, that's why i had 's around it. the spacers sit on top of the springs and move the top of the strut (which is just a shock with mounts on it) up two inches, which is the same thing longer springs would do. notice on those little cars running around they often sell lowering springs, which are basically shorter springs. spacers allow you to do the same thing, but in the opposite direction, without having to buy new springs.
