Reving it high with no load is not good on an engine. This is why the factory puts a lower rpm limit for when not in gear.

Sell your hypercrap and get a Superchips! I had the hypertech and noticed no gains! Installed Superchips and noticed immediate gains! Hypercrap will also not let you adjust the speedo for the 5.7L! if thats what you have! Superchips is also updatable on your computer! Hypercrap is what it is and outdated!

really i wasn't sure which one to get..then the guy at the store said to go with the hypertech cuz of the tech support...the adjustments i made with it were top speed and rev limiter and performance...and this i guess is the new on cuz it came with a usb cord for updates...

I am with dodgenitto on this one. There are a couple of members on here that have seen bad things happen to the hemi (if that is what you have). Can't recall, but I remember it was ugly. If you can return it, return it and look into either the Superchips or the Bully Dog Power Pup. Both of these are good for your basic power upgrade and if you plan on going mad on your engine, then look into the SCT tuner. More money but if you are going to drop major mods into the engine, this is what you will need.

That sucks..and yes i have the Hemi when i compare the hypertech max and the superchips i really didn't see a difference..the only thing i like was that hypertech had a dyno result of the power increase and not like superchips just saying what it will give u
