Have you tried your local Dodge dealer for a oil pump?

10-4. I'm curious to see the inside of the engine and find out what's going on.

can i buy a lesser quality oil, still synthetic, such as some castrol syntec or something since im changing my oil again in a few hundred miles? i believe syntec is like $5 a quart rather than $7.50 for royal purple? also is seafoam my best bet compaed to marvel mystery oil or lucas? and if i do get the seafoam, its a white can with red writing correct? pour all of it in my oil with the 6 quarts or should i do like 5.5 quarts with the can of seafoam? and should i buy 2 cans of seafoam and put the other can in with my gas?

Go to "Bob is the Oil Guy" forum to learns everything you need to know about oil. Mobil 1 is probably the best of the "mainstream" synthetics (due to the majority Group IV synthetic basestock), and Pennzoil Platinum appears to be themost highly-recommendcedof the Group III synthetic oils.

Also, a better product than Seafoam to flush out the crankcase is called "Auto-RX". No point in wasting your money on synthetic oil during the flushing process...just use the cheapest conventional oil you can buy, then put a good synthetic in once the flush is complete.

My guess is the synthetic cleaned up a bunch of gunk in your motor, which in turn clogged the pick-up screen. First time I ran synthetic in my BMW (at around 210k miles), I changed it 750 miles later and it came out thick & black.

Get he super-tech oil at Walmart or AutoZone brand. I have used both with no ill effects. They are a good dino oil for the cheapest price.

+1 on the dino oil. penzzoil/quakerstate will work just fine.

can do all of the above, some in oil, some in gas, some in the top end. read their recommendations on the quantity. your concern right now is more with the oil, so definately do that. if you want to do the other stuff, might as well while you're at it.

But STOP DRIVING HER TILL YOU DROP THE PAN! i'd borrow a car even to go buy the stuff. this is a known issue with the 4.7, and catastrophic failure seems almost inevitable if you keep driving. hopefully you can stop it since you caught it early. hopefully you open it and see a crazy clogged screen.

yes, white can with red writing. dont' get the aerosol/spray stuff called seafoam deepcreep. that stuff is great for throttle body cleaning and to break loose nuts and bolts, but you want the regular stuff that you pour.
I wouldn't use Lucas, have heard not everyone is a fan of it. I know seafoam works. Mystery oil would work too.

oh shes not being driven. only time its been driven really is after i put in the new sensor to see if it did anything. after that it hasnt moved from the spot it sits in the driveway. ill be moving it one more time to the street to drop my oil pan and doing my work. and im hoping so bad that this is going to cure this problem.
