07 4X4 QC 1500 help please
Does anyone on here have a 07 1500 4X4 QC with any size tire over the stock 245XX70R17's on 17" wheels? If so, how did they fit? What size wheels? Tires?Backspacing? etc....etc..... Trying to figure out how I can fit larger tires on my ram with only about 1/2" to 1 inch of clearence on the inside of the tire. Or should I sell/trade in for another model that can accomodate a larger tire. What comes stock seems allfull small on a full-size truck, especially with a leveling kit. Just can't find any info on that year 4X4 1/2 ton on adding over sized tires. Posibly not possible? Thanks!
yeah i have a 06 2wd quadcab with p285/70r17 on mine they barely fit lol, they rub alittle but on the steering knuckel when they are turned all the way in or backing up with the wheels turned but nothing a small wheel spacer wont fix.
Thanks for the reply's. I'd like the 35's or 33's but as others seem to have noted there seems no way a wider tire can fit as the control arm and upper coil/strut tower almost touches the inside of the sidewall. Only maybe an inch of clearense. Plenty of room diameter wise but not on the inside. Streight, turned, doesn't matter. Thanks again. What do peaple do in order to put wider tires on. I see a lot of dodges with them but maybe they are earlier models. I know the 07 and I think the 06 have struts so maybe just not possible on those year dodges
